Interview with Stan Beagley of Piano
Gallery, Top Samick Dealer for 2006
By Jay Cross
Stan Beagley, President and CEO
of B&T Enterprises (a.k.a. Piano
Gallery), and Ken Turner, co-owner
and Vice President, have been serving
the Salt Lake City market with
Samick pianos for 20 years. The two
have always been loyal to Samick, but
in 2006 Beagley posted record numbers
in units and overall sales. This
resulted in one of the most productive
years ever for Samick in the Salt
Lake City based operation. As our “Top Dealer” in 2006, we sat down
with Stan to uncover why they were
so successful this year.
Jay Cross–What Samick brands have you
carried over the 20 years you've been a
Samick dealer?
Stan Beagley–We have carried every
Samick brand. We feel that it is a
tremendous asset to our product mix
to have all price points and quality
levels filled by one manufacturer.
JC–What made you so successful with
Samick products in 2006, and what
makes you successful in general?
SB–We have tried to focus on one particular model in each price point.
It has helped us remain focused
and helped the customer to be less
confused. We also feel like the quality
of the Samick product has been very
high and constantly improving.
JC–As other manufacturers have come
calling over the years, what has kept you
so loyal to Samick?
SB–It seems like all these other companies
are trying to beat each other at
the lowest price/lowest quality point.
Even though Samick is competitive
in these points, quality is still their
biggest concern. The finish and durability
of Samick products is second
to none.
JC–What keeps Samick ahead of the competition
in your opinion?
SB–The perfect match of value and
quality and great people who are
service oriented.
JC–Have you had a chance to sell the
Kohler digital line, and what is your
opinion of it?
SB–We sell them as a price point
digital and have done really well with
this product.
JC–Thanks for being a loyal Samick
dealer over the years, and we are honored
to present you with this years “Top
Dealer” Award for 2006.
